Voodoos re-sign two locals

The Powassan Voodoos have re-signed a pair of local forwards as Aaron Dart and Nathaniel McLeod will return to the NOJHL franchise for the 2015-16 season, the club announced on Tuesday.

After suffering through a pair of injuries that cut short his regular season, Nathaniel McLeod came back and finished the season strong recording 3 goals and 9 assists for 12 points in 12 playoff games with the Voodoos.

Despite missing 12 regular season games due to injury, McLeod still finished 6th in team scoring with 20 goals and 7 assists in 40 regular season contests.

Meantime, hard working power forward Aaron Dart notched 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points in 10 games during the Voodoos playoff run to the NOJHL semifinals.

The North Bay product netted 8 goals along with 13 assists for 21 points during the regular season.

The two 19-year-old local forwards, who graduated from the North Bay Midget AAA Trappers in the spring of 2014, are expected to play key roles for the Voodoos who enter their second season in the NOJHL.
