Voodoos to hold camp in Barrie

The Powassan Voodoos continue to build for their third season in the NOJHL with the organization’s first summer camp in Barrie, Ontario.

The Voodoos will hold a two-day camp on July 9th and 10th at the Allandale Recreation Centre (Red).

The Voodoos held a camp in North Bay in April and traditionally held its second and last one prior to main camp in North Bay as well. This time they are going south.

“We thought it was a good opportunity to host a camp closer to Toronto as we continue to see more and more GTA players interested in the NOJHL and our program,” noted Voodoos GM Chris Dawson.

However, that doesn’t mean the Voodoos aren’t looking at local players.

“We encourage any local players interested who didn’t attend the April Camp to join us in Barrie,” added Dawson.

Registration will take place at 9 am on Saturday, July 9th at the Allandale Red arena.

The first ice session will take place at 11 a.m. with a second session to take place at 7 p.m.

The Voodoos will hold their final session at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 10th at the same rink.

Cost will be $225.00 + HST.

Interested players are asked to contact GM Chris Dawson at powassanvoodoos@gmail.com or call (705) 497-4371.

All players are required to bring a permission to skate form
