NOJHL officials to work regional and national events

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced that three of its officials have been selected to work in upcoming events.

Referee Darren Corcoran and linesman Matthew Walters have both been chosen to officiate in the Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canadian Jr. A Championship, May 2-6, in Trenton, Ont., while linesman Kyle Lekun has been selected to work the RBC Cup Canadian Jr. A Championship, which runs May 13-21 in Cobourg, Ont.

“We at the NOJHL commend Darren, Matthew and Kyle on their respective selections to officiate in these prestigious events,” stated league commissioner Robert Mazzuca.

“It’s a tremendous honour for all three gentlemen to be chosen as they have earned the right to officiate in these two high-level tournaments that will feature the top teams in both Central Canada, as well as nationally, taking part,” added Mazzuca.
