NOJHL still well represented in CJHL rankings

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced their latest Top 20 rankings Monday and the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League is once again well represented in the national listings.

The NOJHL-leading Powassan Voodoos were slotted seventh in the 132-team CJHL while the Soo Thunderbirds were once again tabbed 18th and the surging Cochrane Crunch garnered honourable mention laurels for another week.

Heading into a home contest tonight vs. Iroquois Falls, the Voodoos boast a league-best 76 points and a 37-6-1-1 record.

Cochrane, who has won 10 straight sit second overall in terms of points with 73 having gone 34-11-4-1 to date while Sault Ste. Marie sits third in the NOJHL with the 34-11-1-1 with the Thunderbirds having played three fewer games than the Crunch.

Powassan also boasts the top winning percentage in the league at .844 while the T-Birds are next at .745 followed by Cochrane at .730

There was no change among the top three in the CJHL this week as the Brooks Bandits (AJHL), Georgetown Raiders (OJHL) and Les Cobras de Terrebonne (LHJAAAQ) remaining No. 1 through 3 respectively.
