Powassan to play Georgetown in Dudley-Hewitt Cup semifinal Friday

TRENTON, Ont. – The Powassan Voodoos (NOJHL) got the result they needed Thursday evening as the Dryden GM Ice Dogs (SIJHL) were bounced 10-4 by the host Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL)  in the final round robin game at the Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Canadian Jr. A Championship action in Trenton, Ont.

With the result, Powassan will now advance to the DHC semifinal Friday at 7:30 p.m. where they will take on the Georgetown Raiders (OJHL).

The semifinal survivor will meet defending title holding Trenton in the championship game of the Dudley-Hewitt Cup Saturday in another 7:30 p.m. start.

Awaiting the DHC winner on that contest will be a berth into the RBC Cup Canadian Jr. A Championship, May 13-21, in Cobourg, Ont.

HockeyTV will have the broadcast online of both Dudley-Hewitt playoff games at HockeyTV.com.
