Powassan’s Harland named Gongshow Gear player of the month

SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced today that Powassan Voodoos forward Steve Harland has been named the Gongshow Gear Inc. player of the month for November.

The 18-year-old rookie forward was instrumental offensively for the first-year Voodoos last month in each of his seven games played.

Harland scored at least one goal in each of those contests and also registered an assist in every match-up as well.

The Scarborough, Ont., native totalled 10 tallies and seven helpers in November having multiple-point nights in each game he skated in last month.

Harland, a sixth round pick, 104th overall, of the North Bay Battalion in the 2014 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, currently leads the Voodoos in points with 32 in 22 outings. He is also presently eighth in NOJHL scoring.

For his efforts Harland will receive a prize pack courtesy of Gongshow Gear, the official lifestyle hockey apparel of the NOJHL.

Also receiving consideration for the Gongshow Gear player of the month was Cochrane Crunch forward Cody Gratton and Soo Thunderbirds goaltender Mario Culina.
