BLIND RIVER, ON – Jake Staples late 2nd period goal was the difference as the Powassan Voodoos edged the Blind River Beavers 4-3 at the Blind River Community Centre on Saturday night.
With the Voodoos down 2-1 in the second period, the Voodoos rebounded with 3 goals in 7 minutes of play to take the lead they never relinquished.
Steve Harland netted a pair in the Voodoos win. Battalion prospect Kyle Moore contributed 1 goal and 2 assists.
Jack Ondrovic got the win in goal for the Voodoos who improve to 12-17-0-7 on the season.
The Voodoos are on the road Sunday night when they travel to Elliot Lake to face the Wildcats
