COCHRANE, ON – Cody Gratton scored his second of the game in 3-on-3 overtime as the Cochrane Crunch edged the Powassan Voodoos 5-4 in the Voodoos first ever NOJHL regular season game.
Nathan McLeod led the offense for the Voodoos, scoring a pair of goals as the Voodoos acquired their first point in team history.
Michael Silveri and Brendan D’Agostino had the other goals for the Voodoos.
Aaron Dart contributed with a pair of assists.
Ben Auger turned away 47 Crunch shots in the OT loss.
Josh Racek, Brandon Plourde and Dustin Cordeiro had the other goals for the Crunch, with Cordeiro netting the equalizer with less than 2 minutes left in regulation.
The Voodoos are back at it Saturday night as they travel to Iroquois Falls to take on the Abitibi Eskimos. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Jus Jordan arena.
