The Powassan Voodoos didn’t win a championship in 2022, but they have been victorious in advancing players to the OHL.

Mike Levin, who joined the Voodoos in late October, has signed with the London Knights.

”It was an amazing year, I learned a lot in Powassan and could not have asked for a better year,” said Levin about his time with the Voodoos.

Levin was the Knights 10th round selection, 180th overall in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection. Levin joins the Knights after recording 19 goals, 9 assists, and 28 points through 26 games with the Powassan Voodoos in the NOJHL last season.

“We’re extremely excited to sign Mike. He has an elite shot and high intensity that he’s shown through both training camp and exhibition games,” Rob Simpson, Associate General Manager with the London Knights.

Other 21-22 Voodoos in the OHL:

Ryan O’Dell – Oshawa

Chase MacQueen-Spence – North Bay

Alex Bradshaw – Flint

Caleb van de Ven – Sault Ste. Marie

Mike Levin – London

Chris Dawson, Voodoos GM, is thrilled to hear about Levin’s advancement to the OHL.

“Mike joined us at a time where he had no place to play and become one of the top goal scorers to wear Voodoos green,” said Dawson.

“We wish him all the best as he continues to pursue his dream of playing professional hockey.”
