Voodoos to hold spring camp at Gardens

The Powassan Voodoos will be holding their first Spring Prospects Camp on April 18th and 19th at Memorial Gardens in North Bay, Ontario.

Registration will take place on Friday, April 17th at 5:00 p.m. in the Memorial Gardens lobby.

Chris Dawson, Voodoos General Manager and VP of Hockey Operations says the organization is thrilled to have a camp on the home ice of their affiliate OHL team the North Bay Battalion.

“It should be an exciting camp,” said Dawson.

“Our scouts have done a great job selling our program to players across Ontario and beyond this season.  We hope to have a good mix of out-of-town players and we hope to see some of our quality, home-grown talent on the ice with us as well,” he added.

The Voodoos, who sit 4th in the NOJHL East, have worked hard to develop their players in the organization’s first year in the Junior ‘A’ league.

“We’ve had 2 players commit to NCAA schools already and our OHL picks are being utilized as affiliate players as well,” said Dawson.

The Voodoos Spring Prospects camp will be available for 1999 to 1995 birth year players.

Interested players are asked to bring a permission to skate form.

The camp, was re-scheduled from April 11th and 12th which was the initial training camp date.

Interested participants are asked to email Voodoos GM Chris Dawson at GM@voodooshockey.com or call (705) 497-4371 for more information.
