About Us

The Powassan Voodoos Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club are one of 12 member teams of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL). Founded in 2014, the Voodoos have compiled an overall record of 224-81-20-5, won the NOJHL Regular Season title three times (2016-17, 2017-18, and 2019-20), and were NOJHL Champions in 2016-17. The team plays out of the Powassan Community Sportsplex, which straddles highway 11, is just a 20-minute drive from North Bay, and approximately a three-hour drive north of Toronto.

Team ownership and management have one simple goal: to put a highly competitive team on the ice that players, coaches, and local residents can be proud of. The Powassan Voodoos strive to prepare and develop players to advance to the next level of hockey – whether it’s major junior, CIS, NCAA, or professional –while competing as a club for a league championship and Dudley Hewitt Cup.
