Former Voodoos player to make NHL debut

Former Voodoos forward and former North Bay Battalion star Justin Brazeau is making his NHL debut today for the Boston Bruins as they host the Dallas Stars.

Brazeau, 26, was an AP player with the Voodoos in their inaugural 2014-15 season where he played 5 regular season (1 goal 3 assists) and 5 playoff games. He was offered a spot on the Voodoos in 2015-16 but ended up making the North Bay Battalion.

A 13th-round pick of the Battalion in 2014, Brazeau had a franchise record 61 goals and 52 assists in 68 games in his final season with the Troops in 2018-19. That year he finished four points behind Stars forward Jason Robertson,of the Niagara IceDogs for the OHL scoring title.

Through 49 games this season with the Providence Bruins, the 6’5” forward has 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points.
