Hockey talk and hockey time never really ceases and the weekend the Powassan Voodoos hit this ice for an evaluation/prospects camp.
Close to 80 prospects from across North America are expected to converge on Pete Palangio arena for the Voodoos prospects camp which begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The two-day camp will include four teams and game play throughout the weekend as part of the evaluation project.
Chris Dawson, Voodoos GM, says this will be the biggest prospect camp the organization has hosted.
“So much credit goes to our hockey operations led by the tireless efforts of head coach Peter Goulet,” said Dawson.
“Goulet, and many members of our dedicated scouting and hockey operations staff have been working overtime to recruit the impressive talent which will be on display this weekend.”
The camp will begin with a goalie session at 10 a.m.
Games will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., and then resume again for three more games going from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Sunday morning games will go from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with the camp finishing with player interviews in the afternoon.
