Voodoos 6th; Rock 17th in CJHL rankings

SUDBURY – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League is once again represented by two clubs in the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s Top 20 rankings in the latest weekly listings that were announced Monday.

Rolling right along riding a 17-game winning streak, the Powassan moved up another notch this week as they were tabbed sixth overall in the 132-team CJHL while the Timmins Rock earned a spot at No. 17.

Powassan’s play has helped them expand their point lead in the overall NOJHL standings as they are now 10 clear of their closest rival with their league-best record of 24-3-1-0.

Timmins meanwhile has played few games than any club in the NOJHL to date and boasts the second-best winning percentage in the league at .740 trailing only the Voodoos .875 mark.

The Rock has gone 18-6-1-0 in their first 25 outings this season.

College Francais de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) remains the No. 1 side in the CJHL once again this week followed by the Penticton Vees (BCHL) at No. 2 and the 2017 Dudley-Hewitt Cup host Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL) at No. 3.
