Voodoos target Dart

The Voodoos also announced the signing of another top-5 scorer from the Great North Midget League last year.

The Voodoos added North Bay Midget AAA Trappers forward Aaron Dart.

Dart scored 22 goals and added 18 assists totalling  40 points in only 24 regular season games with the Trappers last year.

Dart along with other Voodoos signings Nathaniel McLeod and Michael Silveri, made up the most productive offensive line in the Great North Midget League last year.

“I thought it would be a great opportunity to play at home and I thought it would be a great opportunity to play with the team after hearing all the players that were being signed,” said Dart.

Voodoos head coach Scott Wray was pleased with the signing.

“Aaron is well known in these parts as he was part of one of the best lines in midget hockey last season for the North Bay Trappers,” said Voodoos head coach Scott Wray.

“Aaron is one of those players that every team looks for. He works hard at both ends of the ice, plays with an edge and has a knack around the net to score big goals.”

“I thought it would be a great opportunity to play at home and I thought it would be a great opportunity to play with the team after hearing all the players that were being signed,” said Dart.

Dart and Major will unite in Powassan on August 22nd for the start of the NOJHL club’s main camp.
